Overview of Jetson E-Bikes
Jetson was born from the idea that everyone should enjoy the “freedom of riding happy.” The brand catapulted onto the world stage in 2012, all thanks to its first product, the Jetson Gen 1, being featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things.
Fast-forward to the present, and the New York-based company now has a wide range of electric bikes available through leading retailers around the world. The brand is most famous for its space-saving folding electric bikes, including the Haze and LX10, which serve as versatile e-bikes designed for cruising and commuting. The brand’s off-road game is pretty strong too, with highly-rated models such as the Jetson Adventure.
Jetson’s CEO and Founder, Josh Sultan, has always had a clear vision for his brand. He aims to provide innovative, environmentally friendly, vibrant, and affordable alternative forms of transportation to the world.
Our Review of Jetson E-Bikes
One of the things that really sets Jetson apart from its competitors is the brand’s affordability. With electric bikes ranging from just $250 (the Bolt Pro Electric Bike Remanufactured) to $1,000 (the J8 Electric Bike), the brand serves as the perfect entry-level option to get riders from A to B without breaking the bank. This is another reason why Jetson’s products are popular among younger cyclists, with teens in particular loving models built for urban cruising like the Bolt, Axle 12″, and LX10.
Despite being one of the more budget-friendly electric bike brands, Jetson still offers some handy features on its bikes, like LED highlights, twist-throttle acceleration, and LCD displays. Additionally, its e-bikes can hit speeds of up to 16 mph and carry ranges of approximately 15–30 miles.
Many of Jetson’s e-bike models are more compact than average, making them a great option for smaller-statured riders who struggle with the taller and heavier frames of other brands. In fact, Jetson’s range of e-bikes is dominated by convenient, step-thru frames, allowing even greater accessibility for those who require it.
